Counselling is often called `talking therapy’, essentially a conversation between two people. It differs from a normal chat in the fact that the therapist is trained to help you deal with your life issues, to resolve them and to help you avoid them in the future. It is a confidential space to share, to explore and sometimes to unload your emotions and thoughts. A safe space to make sense of the world, yourself, your emotions.
There are many different approaches, some therapists work more with behaviours, some with relationships, and some delve more into the past and some the future.
